I was promoted
within JBE which is a firm that consult state and government bodies on town
planning for a number of Catalan cities. I primarily worked on projects in and
around Barcelona.
Raval Sud Government town planning
Development of
the borough ‘Master
Plan’ and the modification of the General Metropolitan Plan’ of Raval Sud,
part of
Barcelona’s old town.
Area analysis – Assessed and measured key social
aspects of the area including population density, origins, traffic, public
facilities, pedestrian flow.
Regeneration proposal – Planning application suggesting what initiatives and
construction could take place to increase people circulation to help reduce
homelessness, drugs and prostitution and to improve the image of the area
Public competitions for governmental
project
Worked in a
team on a number of competition entries for public facilities including a
Library, Day
Nursery, Sports Hall and
an urban park.
Initial concept – Formulated a number of initial ideas to
kickstart projects

Joined the practice
to expand my experience in urban planning. Over my first year I started working
on a large urban planning project as well as assisting on a number of smaller
projects.
Area analysis – Worked on shorter “six month urban plans”
analysing key challenges and generating concepts which could improve the areas.

3D models.

CNA are a small
architecture firm who specialise in residential and public sector projects.
While there I assisted the lead architects in a broad range of areas such the development
of the college ‘Gaudi Institute of
Construction’, including on those project design, drawing construction
details, structure and facilities, 3d modelling, renders and videos of the
project.

GGA focus on
individual residential properties and projects. While here I designed single house
dwellings, from initial concept through detailed design. This included structure,
